GnomeCon to Feature Sonic, Adventure Time Comic Artists

GnomeCon is happy to feature Savannah-area comic book artists Tracy Yardley (Sonic the Hedgehog) and Mad Ruper (Adventure Time).

Yardley has been illustrating Sonic the Hedgehog for Archie Comics since 2005. Other titles have included Archie Comics Sonic X and Sonic Universe. He is also credited as the main penciler/inker of an original manga-like series, Riding Shotgun, published by Tokyopop.

A native of Southern Illinois, Yardley is a 2001 graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and he currently lives with his family in Rincon.

Madeline Rupert, or Mad, has been drawing since she can remember, but she made her first forays into storytelling as a teenager. After briefly studying animation in Boston, she enrolled at the Savannah College of Art & Design. While there, she created a twice-weekly webcomic called “Sakana.”

Currently, she writes AND draws Regular Show: Skips, a spin-off from the Adventure Time animated cartoon, for Ka-Boom Studios, as well as other similar projects.
